B. Requirements for PhD Application
- Regular program (program in Bahasa Indonesia)
- Masters GPA of 3 out of 4; B out of A-D; or 8 out of 10; or 80 out of 100
- English Proficiency Test (minimum AcEPT 268, or PBT/ITP TOEFL 500, or iBT TOEFL 60, or IELTS 5.0) for students from non-English-speaking countries
- One semester of Bahasa Indonesia for Academic Purposes or Test of Indonesian as a Foreign Language (TIFL) score of 600
- Desk evaluation of master academic documents; evaluation of research proposals by the board of assessors
- International Program (program in English)
- Masters GPA of 3 out of 4; B out of A-D; or 8 out of 10; or 80 out of 100
- English Proficiency Test (minimum AcEPT 350, or PBT/ITP TOEFL 550, or iBT TOEFL 80, or IELTS 6.0) for students from non-English-speaking countries
- Optional Test of Indonesian as a Foreign Language (TIFL)
- Desk evaluation of master academic documents; evaluation of research proposals by the board of assessors

- Official Passport-sized Photograph
- Curriculum Vitae (Resume/Personal Data)
- Master’s Degree Diploma
- Official Academic Transcripts issued by your academic institution
- Motivation Letter/Essay
- Personal Statement (not to work and obey the regulation) – template available from OIA UGM
- Financial Support Statement – template available from OIA UGM
- Good Health Statement, issued by a doctor in any format
- International Health Insurance for Foreign Students
- Recommendation/Nomination Letter from home university
- Research Proposal

D. Tuition Fee
The tuition fee for international students is IDR 49,500,000 (approx. USD 3,461) per semester.
